Competative 4DRs

With all the talk of RWN vs FWD and Integras vs F- Bodies, I was wondering:

What, in your opinions, are comparable 4DR cars to the GSR 4DR. When I bought my car in 1996, I was also considering a Maxima SE. I had previously owned a Honda (1985 CRX HF - Slow but fun, but loved the MPG) and a Nissan (88 Maxima - styled like a box on wheels, but fun to drive never-the-less). Both cars turned out to be extremely reliable.

Well, I needed a 4DR (growing family and all) and the BMW 3 series (325i at that time) was out of my price range. The Integra was about $2000 less than I would have spent on the Maxima SE - so here I am.

With the JRSC, I am consistantly faster than stock and street prepared M3s at autocrosses.

So Question: What do you guys think? WHat is a comparable 4DR car to the GSR 4 DR in terms of performance (with or w/o the supercharger)considering overall cost?

Stillen has a new SC kit for the Maxima (last model). Still it makes 300+ HP and a ton of torque. As for other 4doors, try the Audi A4 with Quattro and a Turbo upgrade. You could easily make 250HP with AWD. Hmmmmmm...unless you got the change for a GS400 with a Turbo Kit I am not sure what else you would want.

I traded my 95 N/A GSR coupe in on a 98 GSR sedan about 1 year ago due to the growing family and looked at a few other cars included the A4 and the last model maxima. The A4TQ was a little pricey to start with (26,500) and the cost of turbo upgrades were even more costly. It seems that the stock turbo can only boost so far and needs to be swaped to get any power close to 250hp flywheel. Don't forget this little car is quite heavy also. The Maxima with the stillen blower was my next option. Nissan was practically giving the cars away (around 19k loaded) last year around now, but the car was just too big and heavy for me. Any rear wheel drive car was out of the question for me here in PA. So here I am today with my JR GSR sedan.

Keep track of Toyota's Altezza/IS200/300 series when they come out in 2000; they have vvt-i and SARD alrady makes a turbo kit for them. The output is somewhere around 350hp/250 lb-ft with stock bottomend and simple bolt-on's.
Oh, they're 4 dr's also.
